The Challenge

The Americas division of a Swiss luxury goods holding company sought to enhance its leaders’ ability to guide diverse teams across its portfolio of prestigious brands. The organization aimed to integrate inclusion into its leadership strategy to strengthen team cohesion, navigate cultural dynamics, and cultivate an inclusive workplace.

Key objectives included establishing the business case for a more inclusive culture, fostering cultural competence, and empowering leaders with actionable strategies to lead inclusively.

Tamara's Solution

We partnered with the client to develop a multi-year, custom leadership training program tailored to the needs of the luxury industry. After gaining buy-in from executive leadership, including the President & CEO, we crafted and delivered a series of trainings for over 100 executives, covering:

  • Business Case for Inclusion — Demonstrating how inclusion supports organizational success and growth within the luxury sector.
  • Cultural Competence — Building skills to foster trust, navigate diverse team dynamics, and lead inclusively.
  • Cultural Context — Providing a high-level overview of key U.S. cultural communities and historical contexts, enabling leaders to better understand and engage with diverse perspectives.
  • Inclusive Leadership Strategies — Equipping leaders with practical tools to create an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.

Results

The initiative sparked significant DEI momentum within the organization:

  • Long-term Strategic Initiatives: Two of the company’s brands adopted strategic DEI initiatives to sustain and expand these efforts.
  • Ongoing Partnership: Our collaboration has extended to include executive coaching, supporting the implementation of new business conduct tools, and creating resources to reinforce inclusive practices across teams.

This partnership highlights our commitment to driving organizational change through inclusive leadership and targeted, industry-specific DEI strategies.
