How do I know?
Believe it or not, I was only 14 years old when I developed my first Leadership Training Program. That drive and initiative followed me throughout my career. I made into management at 18 and was a Department Director by age 28.
I was a natural born leader!
My drive and initiative got me far, but it didn’t give me the tools and strategies I needed to feel prepared and lead effectively. Let’s face it; I was a terrible leader in the beginning.
It was difficult for me to listen and be patient with others. And I struggled to include the ideas and voices of others. I resorted to being bossy, which wasn’t effective.
Over the years, I learned some extremely painful, yet powerful lessons about leading others and I want to share them with you so you can be a kick-ass leader now.

#1 How long will it take to complete the training?
On average, this training will take you about 10 hours to complete. This training includes 5 Modules, each module has a recorded session ranging from 35-45 minutes, and one to two activities you can practice and apply in your leadership role. It also includes a Leadership Challenge activity for you to set goals and reflect on your learning throughout the training. On average
#2 What does 100% DIY mean, exactly?
Once you register and create a login, you will be able to access the entire training anytime you want, as often as you want, for up to one year. Yes, that means, once you sign up for this course you can take it anytime and as often as you’d like for one year.
#3 It’s 5 Steps in 5 Modules; do I have to complete them in order?
The simple answer is no. If you’re in the thick of something or just a free spirit then start where it makes sense and follow your own path. However, Real Leadership is designed to be progressive, each Module is built upon the foundation of the concepts laid out in the previous one. Leadership is a process and if you can get it right from the start then it will eliminate challenges down the road.

The Leadership Challenge is an activity created to help you apply the tools, concepts, and processes from Real Leadership to your current context. Use it to identify areas you are struggling with to set goals for the training. It also helps you reflect and plan how to use what you learn from each module in your “real world”.
#5 Do I have to do all of the activities?
You asked for tools and solutions so I’ve put together activities for each module that give you the opportunity to practice and apply them. Doing them is completely up to you and whether or not the activity will help you in your leadership. Some activities may feel more applicable than others so do the ones that make sense for you.
